Weekend Snaps: My 28th Birthday

Happy Sunday!

On Friday I turned the big 28 and I've been celebrating all weekend long!  I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends and family around to celebrate with.

Friday started off on a bit of a sad note.  My sweet cat, Tutu, is once again sick.  I took her to the vet for her first of 3 weekend visits on Friday.  After being in and out of the vet all weekend, we have confirmed that she has kidney stones and will most likely need surgery in a few months.

I find it humorous that you can see my grey hair in this picture.

My original plan for Friday was to go out to dinner and then see a movie, but I was honestly too exhausted to do anything.  We ended up staying in and ordered pizza.  My husband also surprised me with cupcakes from my favorite bakery.

We had each already eaten one at this point.  I've been munching on these all weekend!

On Saturday my amazing family threw me a birthday party.  My sister slaved away in the kitchen and made a huge Mexican fiesta.  We dined on fajitas and a nacho bar.  Super yummy.  I also got to play with my niece and nephew all night.  Love those two.

 

I capped off the weekend with another trip the vet this morning and then lunch with my BFF at my favorite restaurant.

All in all, I'm feeling pretty good about turning 28.  I'm so excited to see where this year takes me!
