Weekly Weigh In: I Didn't Meet my First 2013 Mini Goal

Good morning and happy Friday!

Back in January I set my first mini goal of 2013.  I wanted to weigh 168 pounds by today.  At that time I weighed 174 pounds. 

Today I weighed in at 170.8. While I only lost a little over 3 pounds in 5 weeks, I'm still glad the scale is going down.  I've only worked out about 5 times in those 5 weeks.  It's becoming more and more obvious that if I want to drop more weight, I need to get serious about working out again.

I will say one thing, I'm surprised I didn't gain a little weight this week.  Last weekend I celebrated my birthday and definitely allowed myself to splurge.  Over the course of a weekend I ate 3 cupcakes, a piece of cookie cake, several slices of pizza, stadium popcorn, homemade nachos, and a yummy fried crab cake burger and fries.  I also sipped some of my husband's Diet Pepsi at a basketball game.

It was all delicious and I don't regret a single bit of it.

So it's time to set a new mini goal.  I'm going to make this a super mini one.  I would like to get down to 168 by March 1.  That's 3 pounds in 3 weeks. 

I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!  It's supposed to be cold and rainy, so I'm predicting a weekend in with some homemade chili and movies on the couch!

    And that's a scary thought. March 1st is in 3 weeks?! Time is flying!

  2. That's a great goal! My mini goal was 190 by Valentines and that's creeping up on me. I haven't weighed this week (on my period) but last Saturday I was at 193. So I am hoping that I will be at 190 or very close!

  3. I definitely need to set some mini goals for myself and a small reward to go with it. Maybe that will help me stay motivated for those rough moments. Good luck reaching your new goal!
